Over here in Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving waaaayyy earlier than in the U.S. Seriously early. We were giving thanks and gobbling up delicious meals about 6 weeks ago. It was still warm and sunny out! For real. This also means Christmas comes early in Canada. Stores have been decorated for weeks now, I have tons of friends whose trees are already up and decorated, and holiday events have been happening for the past few weekends. With Thanksgiving now (almost) officially over in the good ol’ U.S. of A, I figure now is the perfect time to get everyone thinking about their Christmas menu. Hey, why not? Those of us in Canada who celebrate are in full holiday mode, and those of you across that long border that divides us must still have food on the mind. If you celebrate another special occasion around this time, such as Hannukah, these recipes will also come in handy if you’re looking for veggie alternatives. Since we have been cooking a vegetarian Christmas menu for many years now, we’re always trying to think of fun, new and delicious dishes to bring to the table. This year, I searched high and low to bring you some awesome recipes. Also, if you’re looking for a vegan menu, I have one coming out very soon, too. Stay tuned! Okay, enough of me blabbering on, here are some of our favourite vegetarian dishes that are perfect for your vegetarian Christmas, organized by category. Drool on!
