Oh Christmas smoothie, oh Christmas smoothie, how lovely are you, Christmas smoothie. Okay, so I maaaayyy have just listened to the ‘Oh Christmas Tree’ song one too many times today. But seriously, this layered fruity Christmas smoothie is the bomb! Every layer is so delicious on its own, but then combined, it’s just over the top deliciousness. Yes, I just used that word. I can’t help myself. This smoothie is that good. It’s also really simple – the only difference being that you are essentially making three different smoothies, but each one is easy and quick. And it’s oh so worth it. This Christmas smoothie would make the perfect addition to your Christmas morning breakfast and would also be a wonderful thing to sip on while you open presents. We’ve also made it at night as an after-dinner smoothie treat, so it could work on Christmas eve. Or for a Christmas party. Or for just any ol’ reason because it’s amazing! Okay, enough talk about how good it is. Here is the recipe for the best Christmas smoothie ever!
Layered Christmas Smoothie
Ingredients
Red Layer
- 1 cup Frozen Raspberries
- 1 cup Frozen Cherries (you can also use strawberries if you prefer, it will just be a lighter shade)
- 1/2 cup Vanilla Frozen Yogurt
- 1/8 cup Milk
White Layer
- 1 1/2 medium-large Bananas (frozen beforehand)
- 1 cup Vanilla Frozen Yogurt
- 4 ice cubes
Green Layer
- 1 cup Frozen Mango
- 1/2 cup Frozen Spinach
- 1/2 Banana (frozen beforehand)
- 1/2 cup Vanilla Frozen Yogurt
- splash of Milk
Method
- Add all of the ingredients for the red layer into a high-powered blender and blend until smooth. You might have to stop and scrape down the sides a few times. Pour some of the mixture into 2-3 glasses and place in the freezer.
- Clean out blender. Add all white layer ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour into the glasses on top of the red layer, swirling around a bit if needed to make it even. Place back into the freezer.
- Place all green layer ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth. Add this layer to the top of the glasses. Drink up and enjoy!
*Note: Placing the glasses in the freezer in between layers is not necessary, but if you’re not quick, the layers might start to melt into each other.
