If your children are anything like K, they LOVE Lego. Who wouldn’t? I know more than a few grown adults who also spend their free time building Lego creations. For real. It’s a great, open-ended and creative toy. My only gripe about it is when the tiny Lego pieces end up everywhere. And I mean everywhere. On the floor, on the counter, beside our bed, in our bed, on AND under the couch…it’s endless. And I think we can all agree that stepping on a piece of Lego is not pleasant. We’ve been struggling with trying to find a good solution, which up until now meant putting all the pieces back in our Lego tubs and then having them dumped all out the very next day when searching for specific pieces. Not very ideal.
The Best Lego Storage and Travel Solution (+ a Swoop bag Giveaway)
I loved what I saw and couldn’t wait to try one out. Friends of ours also just ordered one and can’t recommend it enough. Swoop kindly sent me one of their amazing bags to try and we immediately transferred all of our Lego, Playmobil and some other small items to it right after it arrived. These bags are amazing! Not only do they fit so much Lego (15 pounds in the large bag!), but you can spread it out out so there is no need to dump all the pieces onto the floor.
The bag spreads out to become a play mat so everything is well contained. Then when you’re done playing, you just swoop it all back up and pull the cording together to secure it. Awesome, eh?
Even better, the bags are made right in the U.S. by a family-run business, and are made with 100% cotton canvas, meaning they also clean up easily. We love all of the bright colours and it took us a while to choose the perfect one. We went with Aquarium, and it’s even more gorgeous in person.
I’m pretty sure we will be adding to our Swoop collection with the Swoop mini as well, which is perfect for travelling as K always seems to want to bring along at least 10 different small toys with him. If you’re not Lego fans, the bags can be used for pretty much any purpose, including trains, dress-up clothes, dolls, blocks, stuffed animals, art supplies, or even toiletries or other adult items.
I’m the newest fan of Swoop bags and am so excited to be able to give one away to one of my lucky readers. Just enter by visiting the Swoop website and then commenting on this post to tell me which colour you’ll choose if you win.
