I have a bit of a milkshake obsession. I’ll be the first to admit it. This past pregnancy, the obsession intensified massively. My poor hubby. There was a period where, at least weekly, he would be sent out on a late night mission to our closest ice cream store to get me a double dark chocolate milkshake. Yummy. But, I know, the sugar intake was through the roof. Gah! When I finally got a hold of myself, I thought “Megan, you’ve gotta stop.” Since I wasn’t really up for pushing out a 15 pound baby, I decided to give us both a break and end the milkshake/sugar-laden rush. I began making my own healthier vegan milkshakes.
After some serious milkshake research (yep, that’s a real thing), I found the best and most delicious vegan milkshake recipes out there. Now, I love ice cream as much as the next person, but I’m also a huge fan of non-dairy ice-cream made with coconut milk. It’s generally healthier and doesn’t give me any of those hormonal side effects from dairy. I do love a good scoop of creamy local ice cream every now and then, but for the most part, we opt for a healthier coconut milk ice cream. Okay, back to the milkshakes. There’s a mix here of chocolate (the best) and fruity (also awesome) milkshakes, as well as some straight up healthy milkshakes. You read that right. Healthy milkshakes. Browse through and take your pick. They’re all amazing. I promise.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Shakes from Minimalist Baker. One of my absolute favourite blogs. I haven’t made anything from Minimalist Baker that wasn’t amazing. And chocolate and peanut butter. Need I say more? Yum, yum, and more yum. Also, this is healthy. For reals.
Strawberry Milkshake. Made with all healthy vegan ingredients, this one is a go-to in our home. Top it with coconut whipped cream for bonus points. Oh, healthy enough for breakfast too. Woot, woot.
Healthy Chocolate Shamrock Shakes from Chocolate Covered Katie. These would be prefect for St. Patty’s day of course, but I don’t think you need a special excuse to make these delicious looking milkshakes:)
Samoa Cookie Chocolate Milkshake from Heart of a Baker. These look (and taste) AH-mazing. Perfect end to a hot summer’s day.
Vegan Matcha Milkshake from With Food+Love. I loooooovveee matcha, and this decadent milkshake is a delicious and unique way to use it. This is one seriously healthy and delicious looking vegan milkshake.

Cookie Dough Blizzard Milkshake from Vegan Richa. I’m a big fan of Vegan Richa’s delicious recipes and this one does not disappoint. I love the vegan take on this. It’s so good.
Mocha Milkshake from Minimalist Baker. This one uses only three ingredients and looks out of this world. Also, it has coffee in it, so perhaps it’s a great way to start the day. Milkshakes for breakfast? Why not?
